In Toronto, the name Pusateri’s evokes images of upscale food and even more upscale prices.
Now, this gourmet purveyor has announced it will be opening its first-ever full-serve restaurant at its Avenue Road location. The flagship store has been closed since August 2015 after a fire practically destroyed the building and left local shoppers wondering where to buy their grub. The renovated store will look little like its predecessor.
A dramatic renovation will feature exciting new in-store experiences for customers, the company said in a release, including 15,000+ sq. ft. of redesigned retail and foodservice space.
In addition to bestselling products, Pusateri’s on Avenue Road will add more than 100 new brands to their deluxe grocery assortment. The full-service fresh departments will be upgraded including an increased local and international cheese selection, bolstered deli meat offering, expanded bread boutique, amplified assortment of prepared food and elevated array of hand-rolled sushi.
In addition to its traditional grocery offerings, Pusateri’s will be added La Cucina, a demonstration area and rotisserie carving station; Greenhouse Juices, featuring 100 per cent organic cold-pressed juices; Pusateri’s Café, where guests can enjoy specially-made coffee blends and baked goods; as well as for the first time ever a full service restaurant on the premises.
Diners can expect to enjoy a gourmet experience fitting with the image promoted by this growing upscale grocery chain, which also runs the Saks Food Hall in downtown Toronto.
